Remediation of extracted water from El-Burullus drains sediments using chemical oxidation

The efficiency of treatment was eliminated based on residual concentration ammonia-nitrogen (NH4-N) and chemical oxygen demand (COD). Removal percentage ammonia in case using H2O2 increased a 30%. the removal organic pollutants recorded high 14.28 10.71% for east El-Burullus Damru drains, respectively. KMnO4 gave better results which, maximum 66.59 % 0.2 g/L Hokx site, whereas COD 34.48 at 0.1of site. Acidic conditions (pH 3) demonstrated conducive to all factors both oxidants with exclusion Burullus that displayed pH 5. reduction NH4-N 3 H2O2, 76.74%, 93.76%, 92.03 east, Damro sites, higher 23.07% 8.97% sites PH 3, while 22.22% Furthermore, Fe2+/H2O2 (Fenton’s reagent) run batch process various doss. Under optimal parameters, achieved 58. 69 12.60 Damro, respectively Fe2+ =0.4 g/L, pH= contact time 120 min. performance well compared H2O2. Finally, remediation needn’t extra adjustment which it is simple operation low capital cost.
